History and Magic of Books - Must Read For All Book Lovers

Emma Smith has come up with a terrific, appealing read for all bibliophiles. Right from the start of Portable Magic she captures her readers' interest exploring the history of print in her introduction. She delves into the history and development of books over many centuries and shows that books have been highly regarded and coveted by many people from very early times. Many early books were real works of art both inside and out although sadly not many still exist. We are all so lucky to live at a time when books are readily available and affordable, both traditional books and electronic books. I'm very much looking forward to reading the rest of this fascinating book about books.
