The world building in the excerpt I read was amazing, I love the magical characters involved and the history behind. The characters seem interesting, however I didn't glimpse enough of them. I need to read more to understand and see them evolve. The protagonist has a promising future and her being the child of a genie makes her story even more intriguing. The cliffhanger at the end of the excerpt left me wanting to read more!
