This book was really well written. I have to admit, I did get a little confused, as the book in based in Africa and in a magical world. Luckily there is a synopsis at the back which helps!!!
However, saying all of that, the author really helps the reader’s imagination taking us through this magical world of wonder and spells. Not a story of witches and wizards. This is more about good and evil, and the bits in between, and friendship, family and love. This all leads to challenges along the way and the will to overcome and change what you have been born into.
This book is a fascinating read, full of colour and worlds only your imagination can take you to. The author supports us on this journey of discovery superbly. Her writing and story telling along the way has a wondrous and beautiful nature to it, also reminiscent of sitting by a fire and your grandparents telling you stories.
