This is kind of a twist on the hunger games type of vibe, but just a modern updated version. There was so much anticipation and hype about this book, which usually intimidates me as I worry it will not be as good as people say. In this case, that was not true at all. This book was thoroughly enjoyable and a huge page turner. It moves very quickly, and has a way of drawing you into the storyline so deeply. The main character is written so well, you truly do feel understanding and connection towards them. The writing style was easy to follow, there are many books of this genre that can be so difficult to read that it actually puts you off or leads you to not finish, but this was not like that at all. The writing style was fast, and with enough story building to give you a detailed picture, but not too much that it was overwhelming. The perfect amount of mystery, anticipation and eagerness.
