This is completely my style of reading. It jumps straight in with the storyline, explains part of the mystery that is interluding between the mythological elements of the story and has a strong motive that you want to find out the reason behind. It shows the possibility of love, betrayal, anger, hurt and how people can be manipulated. I would love to read the full version of "Raybearer" and have already recommended it to some of my friends that are likeminded readers of mythology and fantasy and hidden motives to be revealed. The story definitely kept that cliffhanger element with how the author ended chapter 2. Good use of grammar, conversations flew by and it was very clear to the reader when things were memories or not. And any words that a reader did not know (like the name for the main character's powers) were explained very clearly!
