Oh my goodness this book has my heart and I’ve just purchased the second in the series I loved it so much. I don’t want to put in any spoilers, but to say this book is magical is an understatement. The fantasy, characters, world building and plot are nothing short of mesmerising. From chapter one, I was invested in the characters and what was happening. It’s all so unique. The book cover too is compelling and makes you want to read, did you spot the hidden face in the illustrations?

I’m slightly nervous to read the second only because I’m worried it won’t live up to the first book, but the author is so talented and the first book so strong it must live up to it. To sum this book up, it is magical and mesmirising. Nothing short of amazing. Everyone who enjoys fantasy must give this book a go and read it! It won’t take you long.
