As a huge Jodi Picoult fan, I often get sucked in by publishers saying, "For Jodi Picoult readers!" I'm sometimes sceptical and am often wondered how they've seen any similarities. Before reading this extract, I hadn't heard of Charity Norman. Now that I've read the opening, I can definitely see the Jodi Picoult similarities and will be keeping an eye out for Norman's other books. I'm intrigued by this opening and hope it continues to grip me. My beloved gran had Alzheimer's so I hope that's dealt with sensitively and realistically. From what I've read so far, I'm certain this will be the case.
