This is a really gripping story of hidden secrets. It deals with some sensitive topics, such as dementia which I felt the author does very well. The story is told from the perspective of Emily, the main character as she returns to New Zealand to look after her father. Upon arriving, we follow her as a mystery and secrets begin to unravel with some clever twists. Whilst being a gripping thriller, the story is very loving in places and it easy to connect with the well crafted characters. I loved how the story begins with a flashback in order to plunge us straight into the intrigue before jumping to the present. The narrative structure is very easy to follow and keeps the reader engaged throughout and this was a fairly quick read for me. If you enjoy a good page turner combined with serious topics and some unexpected twists then this book could definitely be for you!
