This is an intriguing read about Cressida, the wife of an millionaire businessman who engages Brioni, the tech whizz sister of a friend, to discretely investigate her husband who she suspects of being unfaithful but who find themselves caught up in a web of attempted murder, blackmail and more.
This is the first Sam Blake book I’ve read and although I realised I was missing Brioni’s sisters backstory it didn’t affect the plot of this but it’s possibly worth reading her previous book first. The plot was sharp with some complicated characters and the pace was good, plenty happening but at a rate you could keep up with. There were several stories going on here but they linked well together and the situation with Brioni’s friend didn’t feel as unlikely as it would have done if the plot wasn’t as solid as it was. There’s plenty twists and it definitely keeps you on your toes and the final secret actually put a smile on my face.
