When I read the First Impression, in a very voyeuristic way I was captured and intrigued by the whole concept, but ultimately felt a little disappointed by this novel.
The pace of the first few chapters was not maintained and the timings at the start of each chapter didn't seem to have a point, although I loved the format of going backwards and forwards in time as it certainly kept you mentally involved.
I guessed the murderer early on, and also the reason for the murders- although I constantly wondered if there was to be an unanticipated twist.
I'm not sure why, but I found all of the characters very unsympathetic, but Catherine Ryan-Howard's observations of the use, domination and manipulation of social media were very interesting, to show that not everything may be as it seems to the outside world.
