Reading the first few chapters of Saving Missy, I was interested to know more about her. As someone who is recently widowed, I identified with the feelings of loneliness, interspersed with a realisation that you need to make your own decisions. I’m sure that Missy is going to spend more time with the two women she met in the park, if only to spend more time with Otis. There are plenty of questions: what caused the rift with her daughter? will Missy overcome her loneliness? The writer draws you into Missy’s world and I hope to read more.
