What I like about this story is that the author Charity has thought about how can she make this novel so different for readers to indulge in, from the normal stories of a break up with boyfriend to meeting another man in ones life. Cassy waves goodbye to her parents telling them she will see them in September. For any parent waving off your daughter must be a tearful one, counting the days months for when your daughter is back safe and sound. Cassy has broken up with her boyfriend, but then gets mixed up with a community leader and their group rituals and beliefs. Cassy's parents fight to bring back Cassy home. I'm very interested in why Cassy broke up with her boyfriend and what does she see in Justin the community leader? And what are her parents feeling and thinking and most of all what are they going through? I'm very eager to find out.
