I would never have picked this book up. The front cover didn't catch my eye, the title didn't really indicate anything in particular. Even the synopsis wasn't something I'd usually pick up. And that would have been a shame. This book surprised me and I found it entirely fascinating and I read it within one day. The story is told from Cassey's perspective as someone who is recruited into the cult. On the other hand the story is also told from Diana's perspective who is a distraught mother who never giving up on her daughter. We see both sides of the story. Gethsemane was described as a beautiful place and it felt like the ideal place to be. The different characters are all well written. The location is well described. The emotions running through the different characters is well described. I found the cult storyline absolutely fascinating and I feel like this entire novel was well written from start to finish.
