The book was hard hitting and real and told the story of Michael Emmett, his life ,his loves and his upbringing in the Capital . I enjoyed his facts on the criminal life he was born into and how his father Brian held a high profile throughout his years although this relationship was strained and not often welcome his father was still a predominant factor in the shaping of Michael . The chapters are a bit patchy and his life story often has snippets thrown in and jumps back in time as if he is reading it himself and has just remembered something else . The story also shows how religion started playing a big part in turning Michaels life around and at the current period in time when he lost his money and his wife and kids it showed how his faith managed to pull him through . There was heavy praise for the Alpha prayer group which is still ongoing in prisons today and a ray of hope for others
