I have always been hugely intrigued by the world of drugs, crime and gangs as my upbringing and where I lived lacked all three thankfully. I found a book a few years back about the Kray twins and their dodgy dealings and I fully could not put it down. This was very similar too!
The fact that it was all a true recount of the author's own experiences definitely made it all the more fascinating. I felt really sorry for him, and how he ended up in such a terrible situation with such a terrible lifestyle, but also annoyed that he would involve himself in something so obviously criminal.
It really gave me an insight into a whole mysterious criminal world that I've never had any experience of and I'm really grateful for that opportunity! I'll definitely be on the lookout for similar titles in the future! Thanks Readers First!
