This book is a compelling read. Micheal’s story is one that is riddled with crime, addiction, and other self-sabotaging behaviours. A disturbing childhood event leads to damaging influences acting out in many destructive patterns which are rooted in trauma. Michael takes you on a journey, running on empty, seeking and looking to find ways to fill the emptiness within, whether that is drugs, crime, money or woman…all of which results in a prison sentence which ultimately becomes his saviour. Turning his life around and eventually putting down all substances that caused the destruction, Michael now pays it forward to help others find the same freedom from active addiction and crime. A wonderful example of one mans healing journey. Thank you for sharing your story and leading by example. Overall this was an amazing book which I would definitely recommend
