This is exactly the kind of autobiography I enjoy, it’s so wildly different to anything I am familiar with and a life I couldn’t even dream or living or experiencing so I find this type of non fiction absolutely fascinating to read about. Thank you to readers first for giving me the opportunity to read Sins of Fathers by Michael Emmett. It isn’t a book I would usually pick up based on the cover alone, as it doesn’t give much away but as I was able to read a short extract from the beginning of the book I felt encouraged to read the book in its entirety.
I read this book quite slowly in between fiction novels as it is quite a heavy read involving crime, drugs and addiction as was expected. However it is a compelling read, as I mentioned above I found it fascinating due to the experiences Michael had that are so different to my own life experiences, but also due to his recovery and the way he is attempting to help others in a similar situation.
