This was a book that grabbed my full attention from the very first page right the way to the very end. It was gripping, it was mysterious, it was tense: just everything a thriller should be and more.
I have read books by C.L. Taylor before and enjoyed them a lot but not to this extent before! The way the book was written in a way that always had you thinking you'd figured it all out but then the next page you'd be doubting yourself and guessing all over again.
I felt such a deep connection to Anna from the very start and I could only imagine myself feeling the same way in her situation: blaming myself, just wanting to escape from it all and desperate to find out who was tormenting her in this way. I had such an interest in all of the characters, each with their own individual, and at times moving stories.
C.L. Taylor set such an intense and twisted atmosphere at every point throughout the book and it was such a page turner of a book. Just as you think you can take a moment to breathe, something else comes out of nowhere and throws you right off guard.
I have a few more C.L. Taylor books on my tbr and I cannot wait to bump them a little bit sooner up my list after this!
