This was definitely me judging a book by its cover, it drew me in!
When it was described as 'a true crime that reads like a thriller' i was so excited but this wasn't a thriller at all!
I read The Bigamist last year and this was very similar, I was expecting this to be gripping and not know where it was going, but it read like a biography of Carolyn.
I did feel sorry for her, despite me thinking really?! as so much of it was unbelievable!
When I read 'and I never saw Mark again' there was still 100pages to go, it was slow and repetitive and especially the last 100 pages, were drawn out and could have been summed up alot quicker.
What she went through I couldn't even imagine and really felt for how it has affected her life, but the way this was sold isn't how the book is unfortunately.
Its called Sleeping with a Psychopath but she never actually spent a night with him!
