After reading the Bee Keeper of Alepo I couldn't wait for the next book by this author and how excited was I to see this in Tesco.
I was not disappointed I was captivated from the first chapter and read this book in to sittings.
The author tells the story of life as domestic help who are invisible and very vulnerable.
When a nanny goes missing totally unexpectedly the police don't want to know and dismiss the issue with no thought for what could have happened to her.
We follow the story of the Nanny's boss who is convinced she would not just have left as she left her passport and personal belongings behind and her disappearing is so out of character. We are taken on a journey as we try and find out what has happened and along the way meet many characters many of whom are also foreign domestic help who seem to also not have a voice.
Even if you have not read this authors previous book you will still love this one and will be left waiting in anticipation of her next publication which can't come soon enough.
