When I started reading the excerpt for 'Sourdough', I expected some somewhat-interesting book on culinary culture with a bit of rom-com thrown in. This is actually not what the book is about, which is good, because I would not be anywhere near as interested in that. Right from the first page, Lois' narrative clicks with me, and I love Sloan's writing style. I'm excited to see how Lois' manages with cooking her bread and what challenges she will face further in the narrative.
