As someone who loved Percy Jackson (and quite frankly still does years later), all i can say is that if you loved Percy Jackson you’ll surely like this. Whilst the two books share the same absolutely hilarious and witty first person point of views, this book was also so well written and just beautiful to read.
Firstly, the characters were just so well developed and nuanced that they just instantly made me like them, especially the main character, Kellen. He just instantly endeared to me, as he begins as what seems to be the underdog, as whilst he has incredibly powerful parents, he himself believes himself weak and almost powerless.
The story and the plot itself were so unique and well written that i couldn’t help but fall in love with it. The world building was also phenomenal and i absolutely adored the magic system. Overall i definitely recommend :)
