This book reeled me in right from the start and I found myself putting off everything I had to do so that I could read!

The writing style gallops along with lots of humour and speech very much in the vernacular. It's like eavesdropping on a group of friends: you can hear what they're saying, but can't contribute a single thing. So, you have to read on and tag along with the plot twists and turns.

The heroine of our story, Greer, is approaching her drama exam when someone slips the first act of one of Ben Jonson's plays under her door. his sixteenth century drama was only ever staged once, then the playwright was thrown into prison, all the playhouses were shut and all copies of the plane destroyed.
