To begin,I was rather surprised that S.T.A.G.S was getting a sequel as the first instalment largely stands alone, however I was initially drawn into the second story which focuses on a previously-banned play from a few centuries. The play is the main mystery of the story as the main trio try to find out more about the context and the dangers that could be lurking. I also love the added mystery of the truth of the Henry’s death and the reoccurring theme of if the dead actually stay dead.

I truly think that M. A. Bennett's writing is easy to read which is a perfect thing and lent itself to such a fast-paced plot which I wanted to race through. She is easily able to make the characters seem like teenagers and act like them- a problem I always face in YA books written by adults.

Overall, this book was a great adaptation from the first book, possibly just as good as the original!
