At first, I thought this was going to be a run of the mill young adult survival story in the same vein as Battle Royale and the Hunger Games, but I was pleasantly surprised!

Exploring themes of class and social standing and how they have a bearing on the running of society itself, this was an intriguing read from start to finish!

Somewhat interesting characters that although I felt could have done with a little more fleshing out, were more than relatable, despite the unusual settings the story often took the reader. Although it was another story told from the perspective of a teenage girl, which is something that has been done to death and unfortunately didn't bring anything particularly new or exciting for the genre; for a protagonist, Greer was pretty boring.

However, the story itself was interesting enough that I kept reading; a decent enough mystery/suspense story for young adults.
