This book was incredible, it was sad but intriguing and a little bit dark, it shows the battle against grief of two parents and how they both try and deal with the death of their son in their own different ways.
I absolutely loved the way the author was able to set the scene and was so descriptive about the setting I could imagine it all clearly.
There were times I would forget who I was and literally as I was reading I became the character from whose perspective I was reading, this is very hard to achieve and just shows the talent put into the writing.
I don’t want to spoil what happens but throwing yourself into digging up the earth in search of something doesn’t always turn out as planned and whilst trying to concentrate on that instead of dealing with your grief, you throw your negativity into the earth, what will you find when you look hard enough, it may have been better to not look at at all as you never know what horrors you may find !
