I have waded through all the previous customer reviews. Here is my take. Having read all four previous David Young books on the above-mentioned character and now this book 'Stasi Winter', I am as impressed as ever. Many have commented on the length of descriptions etc and personally I can't see the problem. This book is a great adventure yarn and should be treated as such, having said that David Young knows his subject and East Germany. I think it helps to have read the previous four books for character development, but not necessary as this book could be stand alone. I thoroughly recommend this book in any case, I have found nothing to quibble or moon about. Hopefully David Young will continue to develop the story of Karin Muller. If this book is anything to go by, seems to be taking an interesting turn (no spoilers).
