Having read the synopsis, the opening chapters are very different to what I expected. A young boy whose mother is determined that he will have the artistic career that she never had. A father who travels away with work whilst his wife drinks and drinks.
I would like to read more, to meet 'Stella' and to see how the young man grew up.
