I'm always drawn to authors that I haven't yet discovered but are highly rated in their own countries and their own language. Takis Würger is a prime example of this being a rising star in Germany. The cover of the book is excellent and makes you want to buy it on that alone. The story itself sounds a brilliant cocktail of love, obsession, prejudice and the choices that have to be made to survive dangerous times.
