Not that keen on the cover. But the writing style is well written and easy to follow. Based in the period of the war in Germany. Starts of with the absent father and the alcoholic and abusive mother who seems to use the boy for her own gain. It wouldn't be the kind of book I'd read myself. But I would think otherwise would like it.
