In 1942, Friedrich, arrives in Berlin from Switzerland with dreams of becoming an artist. At a life drawing class, he is hypnotized by the beautiful model, Kristin, Kristin teaches the naïve Friedrich how to take care of himself.
I love reading about the gestapo and this was very hooking the writing was good but as the story kept going it just felt short and stopped. so it was flat in that sense and I wanted more as the ending wasn't satisfying. its not a long book but it could have been fleshed out more I think.
I was not a big fan of the main character, I found him somewhat bland and I found his romance with Stella to be not very endearing as it was more go blind infatuation and not a romance mean I get that but its just not satisfying to read and doesn't connect you, I just could not really warm to it. Overall I definitely finished this book with mixed feelings.
