I’m really interested into books that’s based off the Holocaust. Reading this book made me convince that I need to read this asap. The way the son talks about his mother and how she was always zoning off into her imagination while the dad goes to work. I really like this story so far. He seems to talk a lot about his life especially his home life. He talks about how he was always lonely because he had to be there for his mom. I relate to him cause my mom always needed help with things. My favorite part so far about this is the goat. He ran out during the thunderstorm just to go save the poor goat. He seems like a good person not wanting to lie and being careful with animals. When he’s with the cook, he can’t seem to want to lie because he knows that would break his belief of telling the truth. He ends up telling her the truth but he apologizes. I can’t wait til I get to read this for free. I love it so far.
