I love how this novel (unlike others that I have read) gives light to and spreads awareness on serious illnesses, such as breast cancer that nobody really feels comfortable talking about in day to day life. Additionally, I adore the sense of feminism in the books as it shows a group of women fighting the disease, the idea of not 'giving in' to cancer really motivates the public and others that feel hopeless. It will really be very educating for people like me, who (fortunately) are not suffering or know any immediate family who are suffering with breast cancer, and help us to empathise with this community. Lastly, I am excited to read about the friendships formed in this novel as it brings a sense of community to our society and hopefully encourages more people to be more encouraging and supportive to others. Can't wait to finally read this book!
