At first the book design stood out to me, especially the name as it was so bold and emphasised, but the blurb is what got me hooked to the idea of the book. I do love a good re-telling of a classic fairytale in a new angle/perspective. It read very well and I got into the scene easy enough but I am not sure how it can get better than the first chapter as it explains it all very well but very quickly... I would love to see how the author expands on the story following from the first chapter. I presume it's a shorter story because cinderella's story itself is quite short and the first chapter alone is already foregoing past the fairy Godmother and the dance. This book is very good in taking an interesting perspective from the step-sister in the cinderella story but the only way I imagine this will continue to work is if she is reacting to Ella explaining how she's the one he wants
