Hollow’s Edge used to be a quiet place filled with nice neighbours who looked out for each other and celebrated together at every opportunity. But then there was a murder: Brandon and Fiona Truett A private and idyllic neighborhood where neighbors dropped in on neighbors, celebrated graduation and holiday parties together, and looked out for one another. But then came the murder of Brandon and Fiona Truett, allegedly killed by Ruby Fletcher.

And now Ruby is back with her conviction overturned. She waltzes home without a care in the world back to the home she lived in with Harper Nash. Butr Harper is anxious - she can't turn Ruby away but she doesn't want her to stay either. And as time progresses it turns out that there's a secret about the night of the Truett murders and it's up to Harper to find out exactly what happened.

A riveting and atmospheric read. I find this author's books always a slow burn, but that increases the anticipation and tension. It hotted up in the second part of the book and kept my attention right to the end.
