Such A Quiet Place is very cleverly written. Around halfway through I was convinced I knew the answer to the mystery but I very quickly realised I was completely wrong. Megan Miranda keeps her readers guessing to the end. Hollow's Edge is the quiet place of the title but two years prior to the start of the book Ruby who rented a room from Harper was convicted of killing their neighbours and sentenced to life imprisonment. She has now been released as her lawyers successfully argued the conviction was flawed and she is released. The remaining residents of Hollow's Edge don't expect her to return however a couple of days later she walks into Harper's house putting Harper in a very difficult position as many of the neighbours believe Ruby is guilty of the murders and was only released on a technicality. Despite her own reservations Harper allows Ruby to stay and there are many twists and turns along the way before the author finally reveals the very surprising truth. Definitely worth reading.
