I was a massive fan of The Girl from Widow Hills and was thrilled to win a copy of the new book from Megan Miranda on Readers First.

With Such a Quiet Place, the first thing that caught my attention was the cover design - it's the perfect style for a thriller, dark and mysterious. The second thing that stood out was the story - a perfect neighbourhood which is rocked by the murder of two of its residents. Eighteen months later, the remaining residents are still suffering from the fallout of these murders. Suspicions are high and it becomes clear that someone must be lying about what happened on the night the murders took place.

From what I have read previously from the author, this book fits really well with her other novels so would appeal to anyone who has liked her earlier books. Overall, I think it was a slow burn narrative but pleasantly unpredictable and atmospheric.
