I've just finished Sunflowers in February and am left with a smile on my face.
When Lily dies and realises that she is outside of her own body, she witnesses the grief that her friends and family are going through, whilst helpless to do anything about it. Then something happens which gives Lily the chance to get a little bit closer to those she loves. I won't spoil it and say what!
The book has been compared to The Lovely Bones and whilst there is an obvious connection, I would say that the two are very different in their styles. Sunflowers in February is lighter-hearted in its themes but that doesn't mean it isn't poignant. A sweet tale about life, death and what it means to be alive!
