I rarely give 5 stars for a book but this was amazing. Ian manages to be informative in his writing but so absorbing that I didn't want to put it down. It's such an incredible story of not only Richard Glossip's journey to the death chamber but the history of the death sentence internationally as well. It astonishes me that any society, let alone one which claims to be so forward-thinking and modern, can justify killing anyone, innocent or not! This book is so emotive and capturing I felt like I was living the whole thing. I've never read anything quite like it. I would strongly recommend this book to everyone. A true snapshot of injustice - a real eye-opener. I just can't believe I didn't read it sooner.
