I loved the striking cover for Sweet Little Lies and i was definitely intrigued by the synopsis, but unfortunately the story fell a little bit short for me.
The opening chapter initially grabbed my attention, but as the story progressed there was just something missing, i didn't feel the suspense that i expected to and it just nicely plodded on until the end when it picked up again. I didn't like the main character cat, infact the only one i kind of cared for was Parnell - maybe this was why i couldn't connect.
Having said that, the book is well written, and i did find the ending satisfying - never saw the outcome coming.
Overall this is a good debut - i just needed a little more to draw me in.
