Although this isn't my usual genre, I liked the concept. I also liked the opening as I thought it was both surprising (and slightly gross!) and funny too. I liked the focus on the central female characters and The Stake sounds marvellous - sign me up for some hush brushing now! An interesting start and one I'd want to read more of.
