The Art of Death is a thrilling and bone chilling book, at first we meet a mysterious man with unknown motives, he appears to go to a cafe to follow a certain woman and is intrigued by the people around him in a rather creepy and suspicious way as he refers to them as "candidates" for his "collection". What is more worrying is how natural he acts with cunning tricks eventhough he is displaying sociopathic behaviour but then he sets his eyes on Archer. Grace Archer is a detective inspector, we see that she a smart and dilligent woman, she and her detective sergeant go to a scene after receiving complaints of obscene art pieces. When she arrives at the scene, it appears that there are 3 cabinets filled with liquid, what is troubling is that each cabinet has a dead body within them.
This book is amazing, the detail is immaculate. The way the author so well put in to words the atmosphere, it feels like its real as if i could smell the "fresh brewing coffee" or hear the "jazz music" playing. The mystery and the tension has you hook from the beginning as you continue to ask yourself what will happen? Who did it? The Art of Death is a journey through crime potrayed through something as beautiful and chilling as art, such an unbelievable and unique concept!
