This book admittedly took me an absolute age to finish due to life getting in the way but I managed to complete it recently.
It was an interesting novel that kept me decently hooked at times although I felt there was a little too many filler chapters where nothing really happened. These are the only times where I lost interest but on the whole, I liked the plot. The killer was my favourite character as the addition of his perspective was refreshing amongst the police work which felt a touch drawn out during certain chapters.
The plot developed nicely and did not feel rushed. I liked the wording style and felt it was appropriate for a police procedural type of book. I also grew to like the main character although I found it difficult to connect with her in the beginning.
I would not be opposed to picking up another book set in a similar universe by the author.
