There is certainly a lot of scene setting in the first handful of pages that we are able to read here. So much so that it jumps around in time and location quite randomly making it a little difficult to follow. I have to admit that I don't think this is one for me at all, I couldn't settle in to the story or even find any sort of empathy for the characters within it.
