I am so glad I read this just after reading "She's not there" by the same author. I could see some similarities from the beginning, such as the theme of turbulent relationship between sisters, and estranged children from parents.
This book is about Robin,a therapist who leaves her life in LA to come back to her hometown, a place she has not visited in years due to the nonexisting relationship with her father and sister, when a seeming robbery gone wrong leaves her father and his new family fighting for their lives in the hospital.
The story is great, very suspenseful with twists and turns until the end. I've read a lot of trillers so I succeeded in predicting some things in the plot but that did not take out of my enjoying the story! It was very smart and I would definitely read by this author again. I also enjoyed the writting and the character building.
