A potent book, heady and all consuming
I read the first sentence and held my breath. I read the last page and I exhaled.
This was that kind of book: a worry, an ache, a lesson.
It never became too difficult to read. I liked that it wasn’t too abstract by omitting full details.
I liked the evolution of the characters.
I will be reading the sequel when I am ready to. I hope you enjoy this book just as I did!
I received this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own and completely honest.

I read this book a week before we all heard of the 27 lives taken crossing the channel into English waters. This book tells of a topic that lives in our headlines, and it had resurfaced and my thoughts are constantly with it.
We must show our humanity and remember theirs.
