A sad, haunting moving story about a husband and wife's nerve wracking journey from Syria to the UK. The story follows beekeeper Nuri and his wife Afra on their journey from war-torn Syria, across perilous waters and through dangerous encampments, to the relative safety of Britain.
I was totally gripped reading this book. Alot of web sites,book reviews recommended this and they were right. This book helps to convey the story of refugees these people risked there life escaping there country.
A strong story. Well written. The story is heart breaking but hopeful in a way.
No spoilers. I would strongly recommend this to read.
It's not a easy story but well worth it. The reality of this being what people go through to be safe is awful. I really opened my eyes and made me think and feel.
