This is world class historical saga at it's best!
I do not normally cry at films or books but my god this book had me sobbing happy and sad tears.
This book honestly kept me wanting more I was so impressed.
How could this one family endure so much pain and hardship? The charracters made you feel like you really were getting to know them during the book. I loved Nessie and hated Marcie. But then after Marcie tells her story you have to feel for her as and makes you understand why she was as she was.
Poor Joseph this got me so so bad I wanted a miracle cure for that poor little baby and it broke my heart when he died.
I am so glad that Nessie got her happy ending she deserved it after everything she had to endure.
Looking forward to another Rosie Goodwin.
