The first chapter felt very lyrical and nostalgic. Slow-paced (not in a bad way) with some stuff in the past they want to keep there. The cover is eye-catching as a black and white photo with a single pop of colour would be. It's a time period I've not really read much from. I don't know that I'm wowed by it yet.
