It is not often that a book can make you cry on one page and laugh on another, but this book did manage that. It was clearly written by someone who had been through cancer treatment as it was quite detailed on this aspect. Keira had everything going for her until her cancer diagnosis. The Running Club helped her through and the stories of the other cancer sufferers added another layer of interest to the story. There were certainly unlikeable characters in the story, Pierre and Lorna are certainly not true friends. However, this was an uplifting story as well as being informative which I am glad to have had the opportunity to have read. It is certainly not my usual type of read, I am more into psychological thrillers but I think it does you good to get our of your comfort zone once in a while and read something completely different. I have since shared the book with a couple of friends who also enjoyed it. I look forward toJosie Lloyd's next book.
